Rock Chalets
Niwithigala
Designing chalets on the rugged edge of a rock formation posed significant engineering and environmental challenges. The project required ensuring structural stability on uneven terrain, while preserving the natural landscape and delivering a luxury hospitality experience. Balancing safety, sustainability, and aesthetics in a sensitive location was the primary challenge.
Eco Twin 14 adopted a context-driven design approach, using advanced geotechnical analysis and structural engineering to ensure stability without disturbing the natural rock formations. Locally sourced, eco-friendly materials were used to minimize environmental impact, while large glass panels and open layouts were incorporated to maximize panoramic views. The result was a set of luxury chalets that offer comfort, serenity, and harmony with nature, while meeting modern sustainability standards.
