Cultural Heritage City
Polonnaruwa
Designing a facility within the Polonnaruwa Cultural Heritage City, a UNESCO World Heritage site, required balancing modern functionality with cultural sensitivity. The challenge was to develop a structure that could support visitor management, monitoring, and security operations without disrupting the site’s historic and aesthetic character.
Eco Twin 14 created a context-aware architectural and civil design that harmonizes with the heritage environment. The facility incorporates modern security systems, efficient visitor flow management, and durable infrastructure, all while respecting the cultural setting. The design emphasizes low-impact construction, natural materials, and sustainable solutions, ensuring a facility that enhances heritage protection without compromising authenticity.
